Recently, I came across NOVICA: a website with a focus on fair trade artisan relationships around the world. Not only is fast fashion awful for the environment–not to mention the human cost–the clothes tend to be on the cheap and generic side.

Unique pieces make it easy to turn any outfit into something a little more special. Adding a statement long necklace to an otherwise plain dress is a simple way to transform a look and feel more like you could be living in a magical treehouse in the forest.

While more sustainable fashion does tend to be more on the expensive side, if you’re able to make the investment, higher quality items will usually outlast their cheaper alternatives tenfold. And you could always do what I typically do, and bookmark their “Sale” page so you can check back now and again for a great deal!

Plus, they have an entire tag dedicated to “Leaf and Tree” and honestly, what more could you ask for!
